AT THE LADIES KENNEL ASSOCIATION

CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW 2013

  • Bronze Testing (enter on the day)
  • GCDS Breed Classes
  • Any Variety Good Citizen Dog Scheme Stakes

The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest Dog Training Programme

in the UK and encourages dog owners to recognise the responsibilities they have in

owning a dog. To date, over 2000+ training organisations participate in the Scheme,

which in turn has produced many proud recipients of the Good Citizen Dog Scheme

Awards.

The Scheme incorporates all aspects of domestic dog owning situations including

general health care, grooming, basic obedience and control exercises. Whether you

have a domestic pet dog or a show winner, a well-behaved dog is of primary

importance. Remember you can have brains as well as beauty!

We are pleased to advise that in 2013 there will be three ways in which you can participate in this scheme at the LKA Show. These are as follows:-

 1.    Bronze Award testing sessions will be held between 10am & 11am and 3pm & 4pm in the Activity Ring in Hall 17, so come along and take part. No need to pre-book.

Remember to bring with you a poop scoop bag, your dog’s grooming equipment and ensure your dog is wearing a collar and lead with the name and address of the

owner written on it. A fee of £2.00 per dog will be made – all of which will be donated to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust

 2.    Good Citizen Dog Scheme classes are scheduled in each breed, these are open

to all GCDS Bronze Achievers (as of show closing date). A rosette has been

donated by The Kennel Club for the dog and bitch class winners in each breed.

 3.    Any Variety Good Citizen Dog Scheme Stakes sponsored by The Kennel Club

will be held each day. The Stakes are open to all GCDS Bronze Achievers (as of

show closing date). Prize Money 1st £50, 2nd £25, 3rd £10, 4th £5.
